Gazecue: Teleprompter is a teleprompter and camera app for iPhone and iPad that scrolls your script close to the lens while you record, so you can read every line and still look at your viewer.

What the app does

  • Unlimited scripts: write, paste or import .txt, .md, .rtf and .pdf files; favorites.
  • The editor shows the word count and the reading time.
  • Speed in words per minute, 60 to 300, adjustable with plus and minus while the script scrolls.
  • Text size 20 to 96 pt, line spacing and margins; four fonts (System, Rounded, Serif, Monospaced); start or centered alignment.
  • A movable reading line (default at 33% of the screen height).
  • Countdown off, 3, 5 or 10 seconds; optional auto-stop at the end of the script.
  • Prompt-only mode with the camera off.
  • Recording with the front or back camera.
  • Recordings library: play back, share, save to Photos, optional automatic saving to Photos.
  • Six themes; Classic and Paper are free.
  • Free takes are up to 1:00 each and shared videos carry a small “Made with Gazecue” mark; playback in the app is clean.
  • Pro: no take length limit, no mark (including past takes), 1080p at 60 fps and 4K where the device supports it, mirror modes for glass rigs, split layouts with text and background opacity, all six themes, keyboard and Bluetooth page-turner control.
  • If the microphone is not allowed, the app records video without sound.

Privacy

  • No account and no sign-in.
  • Scripts, recordings, settings and the cached purchase status are stored on the device. The developer runs no servers that receive scripts or recordings.
  • No advertising, no analytics frameworks and no tracking in the app.
  • The only third-party service in the app is RevenueCat, which checks purchases using an anonymous app user ID and receives a few anonymous setup markers.
  • Camera and microphone are used only for recording; Photos access is add-only.
